An annual Theme

With a tradition of creative production value, the Orange County Film Festival adopts a new theme annually to design the Award Show and give the audience a true experience. Previous festival themes have included Old Hollywood, Circus, and Blues.

Cinematic Arts Experience creates opportunities for students to get a taste of the industry

Designed as a showcase for student work from across Orange County, the Orange County Film Festival provides a unique opportunity for audiences to get a glimpse of passionate storytelling, conceived and created by the filmmakers of tomorrow.

History

Cinematic Arts Experience has been in operation since 2003 as a “for student, by student” film festival, known as the Orange County Film Festival.  A close group of students from a variety of schools were united through education and a love of film.  Although the festival’s early years were humble in comparison to the production value today, the Orange County Film Festival’s primary mission is unwavering: to give students a real world stage for recognition of their filmmaking talents.

Making film a reality

By partnering with FilmEd Academy of the Arts, CAE has the opportunity to mentor and collaborate with some of the most creative and driven young minds in Southern California.  Cinematic Arts Experience continues to forge ahead, creating opportunities for students to get a taste of the industry.  This is only possible with our loyal alumni that have participated in the Orange County Film Festival and continue to give back annually.

Nearly everyone that loves film has dreamed of being in the movies.  Cinematic Arts Experience takes the dream one step closer to reality.  Although our team prides themselves on discovering talent, our core belief is everybody has a story to tell.
