The 24

The 24 is a competition in which participating teams have 24 hours to write, direct, film, and edit a music video to a song provided. This competition has a reputation for being fast paced, stressful, and sleepless, but most of all as a fun weekend spent by a group of students doing something they love.

Competition

January 11th, 2020 at 3pm – January 12th, 2020 at 3pm
At 3pm at January 11th group leaders will be emailed the song for this year’s competition. From that time, teams have 24 hours to script a story, plan their shots, and edit it all together. Finished films must be compressed and uploaded by 3pm on January 12th to be eligible for judging.

Rules

*All content for the music videos must be filmed during the time allotted for competition.
*ALL participants must fill out a Code of Conduct agreement in order to participate.
*More than one team per school may participate, but only one video may be submitted for judging.
*Entries must be FAMILY APPROPRIATE and must not include the use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, nudity, sex, excessive violence, or material deemed to be offensive to categories of individuals based on their religion, ethnicity, race, sex, or sexuality.
*Entries may not be posted online or shared prior to the screening date. Any entry found online will be disqualified.

SCREENING!

January 24th, 2020 at 6pm at Northwood High School
Your team, friends, and family are invited to join us as we screen all of the 24 music videos at our annual drive-in screening! Admission is free, just bring cash for drinks and snacks. Dress warm, it’s gonna be cold!

Orange County Film Festival nominations will be announced at the end of the screening.
